CSV to JSON Converter

About this tool

Convert CSV to a JSON array and back. The delimiter can be detected automatically, and the first row can be treated as column names so each row becomes an object.

Typed mode turns numbers, true, false and null into real JSON values, while leaving IDs such as 007 as text. When writing CSV, cells starting with = + - or @ can be prefixed so spreadsheets do not run them as formulas.

How to use it

1. Paste CSV to get JSON, or a JSON array to get CSV.
2. Pick the delimiter or let it be detected, and say whether the first row holds column names.
3. Convert and copy the result. Typed mode turns numbers and true or false into real JSON values.

Example

Input:

id,name,active
007,Ada,true
2,Linus,false

JSON with the header row and typed values (007 stays text):
