Escape the characters that have a special meaning in HTML (& < > double and single quotes) as entities, or decode entities back to text. Decoding understands named entities such as © and decimal and hex numeric ones.
Entities are decoded by the browser's own parser as text, and nothing in the input is run or shown as markup. Input is limited to 1 MB.
