URL Encode and Decode
Percent-encode or decode URL components and full URLs.
About this tool
Percent-encode text for use in a URL, or decode it back. Component mode encodes everything except letters, digits and a few marks, which is right for a single query value. Full URL mode leaves characters such as / ? & = # alone so the URL keeps its shape.
When decoding, a malformed sequence such as a lone % is reported as an error. Form-encoded text uses + for a space; turn on the option to decode it that way. Input is limited to 1 MB.
How to use it
- Paste the text or URL.
- Choose component mode for a single query value, or full URL mode to keep / ? & = # as they are.
- Encode or decode and copy the result.
